Summer is running out fast. I have been wanting to offer this event since the very beginning. But, until now, I have not been able to get this event at a price that would work in these times of recession. So, here it is, fly fishing lesson at almost $100 off the going rate.
Come out and learn all about fly fishing. I am not going to lie to you. This sport is hard. The graceful and fluid motion you see in the movies does not come easy. (In fact, most of the guys in the movies are probably doing it wrong.) Our instructor Luke will help us channel a little of the fly fishing force and teach us to cast, proper techniques, theories of fishing and even how to tie the lures (flies). If you are lucky you might even catch a fish.
This class is limited to only 10 people. So, the first 10 to pay get to go. Unless I hear a ground swell of demand, we will not be able to offer this again until the spring. So, do not miss out.
We will meet at 9:00 and learn the basics. Then, it is into the river as we put those skills to the test under Luke's watchful eye. Be patient. We will have 2 hours before lunch (Bring your own). At lunch he will go over fly tying. Then after lunch you can try your luck again for a couple more hours. This event should be over by 3:00.
The cost includes the lessons and fly fishing equipment. You will be responsible for your lunch and to bring old shoes (or waders). The event is being held at Tyler State Park, about 45 minutes from Center City.
