Fall Foliage hike 4 - Pinnacle and Pulpit Trail
Operated by: TerraMar Adventures
Event Leader: Carl
Kempton, PA 0
For the final hike of our Fall Foliage Series, we travel to what is known as one of the best hikes in Pennsylvania. Cooler temps, sunny skies and brightly turning leaves means this is the time to get out! So, we are offering a fall foliage series this October to the best vistas in Eastern PA.
The Pinnacle and Pulpit trail is spectacular. AT thru-hikers often claim the views at the Pinnacle are the best views in Pennsylvania and that expansive vista is surely one of the best foliage spots in the state. You will enjoy spectacular views of Hawk Mountain, the Lehigh Valley, and Blue Rocks. Rocky forest footpaths and abandoned roads follow forested mountain trails and mountain streams to a ridge-top boulder outcrop.
But, this is no walk in the park, you'll get a killer workout with all the climbing on the way up, and the whole hike takes about 5 hours. But, once you're done, you'll see it's well worth the trip!
Clothing and Equipment: Hiking boots, sun block, raingear, water bottle.
Directions: Carpool info and meeting spot directions will be sent to all registrants.

*Obviously, foliage is not guaranteed. We try to time this for the color. But, weather and storms will have a lot to do with what we see.
