Cross Country Skiing and Weyerbacher Brewery

Join us for cross country skiing in the beautiful Pocono Mountains! This is a great way to get a great workout while enjoying the scenery. We will be provided with rental skis as well as access to the grounds of the Inn at Pocono Manor for this event.

Afterward, we will relax and warm up at a the Weyerbacher Brewery. Weyerbacher Brewery will be our reward after skiing all morning. Based in Easton, PA, Weyerbacher features a wide selection of brews, ranging from Merry Monks to their Double Simcoe IPA. There will be samples there for everyone to enjoy. Not only that, we will be taking a tour of their brewery.

In the event that there is not enough snow for skiing (only about 3" is required), we will do a winter hike along a beautiful section of the Appalachian Trail called Delp Overlook. We will climb up through boulder fields and forested trails to a spectacular view from Blue Mountain. You will need sturdy shoes and plenty of layers for this hike. And don't worry, we won't go without relaxing over a beer after the hike either!

Cost:  $49  This includes rental of equipment and pass for cross country skiing.  Sandwiches while out skiing.  Beer tasting and tour from Weyerbacher Brewery.

Clothing and Equipment: Warm clothes (layers!), gloves, sturdy waterproof hiking boots, snacks, and water. Trekking poles may be helpful for the hike.

Directions: Directions will be sent to all paid registrants. If you do not have a car get in touch with the other members regarding carpooling to the site.

Payment: Price includes boot and ski rental. In the event that we are not able to go skiing, we will refund each paid participant $25. We require payment in advance for all of our events to secure a spot.
