Hamster Ball and Hike!

Operated by: TerraMar Adventures

Event Leader: Carl

Remember sitting in your room as a child staring blankly into your hamsters cage and wondering what all the fuss was about? Here's your chance to find out! The little guy could run forever in a ball without getting dizzy, sick or tired...can you?

We’re going zorbing! What’s zorbing you ask? We'll begin by taking the lift up to the top of the ski slopes and you'll climb into a 11 foot in diameter inflatable ball with a 6 foot inner core. You'll then tumble head first down the ski slopes while being tossed about inside the OGO ball.

There are two options for the ride, H2OGO balls also contain 5 gallons of fresh water so you (and up to two friends ) body surf inside during the ride. The regular (dry) balls have a harness so you're strapped in and upside down as the ball flies down the slope!

NOTE: Maximum rider weight is 275 lbs. Maximum combined weight for up to 3 riders is 550 lbs.

Details: We’ll begin the day on the Appalachian Trail for a moderate hike. Bring a sack lunch as we will be stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and have lunch. Then, it's off for some hamster ball fun! The cost for the hamster ball and hike combined is $40.00, add $10.00 if you want an additional ride.

Clothing and Equipment: Hiking boots, sun block, raingear, water bottle (there are a few outdoor spigots located at/around the trail head), lunch.

Directions: Carpool info and meeting spot directions will be sent to all paid registrants a few days before the event.

Plus, this event is sponsored by Symbiot Sportpack

One lucky member who comes to this event will have the opportunity to win a free Symbiot Sportspack of their own.  (A $39.99 value) Hint – we like to give the packs to reward good behavior.  Over Earth Day, Sarah gave one out to the member she caught picking up litter off the trail.  Carl gave one away to a member who brought three friends to a hike.  So, come out and do good things and you might get rewarded!

Check out the Sportpack at  http://www.symbiotdesign.com/
