Description: Whitewater rafting must be the best way to cool down in the summer heat. Expect thrills and chills and you paddle and splash your way past fantastic vistas through one of the prettiest stretches of river in Pennsylvania. Note: This is a 5-6 hour trip.
This is a great way for you to get into the great outdoors and tap into your inner adrenaline junkie as we rip through the Lehigh River Gorge, just 90 minutes from Philadelphia. This trip boasts dozens of exciting rapids combined with spectacular wilderness scenery. You'll laugh, scream splash and soak yourself silly! No experience is necessary!
Rates Include: all necessary rafting equipment, life jacket, free parking, shuttle service to/from the river, experienced river guides, boxed lunch, water and snacks.
Clothing and Equipment: Swimsuit, river shoes/strapped sandals or sneakers that can get soaked (no crocs or flip flops!), sunscreen, towel and change of clothes.
Directions: We have an 11:30am reservation, and need to arrive a bit early to fill out boxed lunch forms. We will send out carpooling details to paid event registrants. The carpool will leave from South Philadelphia.
Payment: We must provide a final head count to the rafting company by July 11th, and no late registrations can be accepted. You must submit payment on this website by July 11th.
