The Sidecar Bar and Grille is one of Terra Mar’s favorite restaurant in the city. It is cheap, friendly and we have not found a bar with a better menu anywhere in the city. We love to venture all throughout this city looking for a good meals and good deals. The Sidecar has been a steady home for us, and it’s time for us to make our semi annual pilgrimage to one of our favorite restaurants. If you have never been, please join us. It’s a friendly place, with good people.
The food is eclectic. Southern and Creole fare is found throughout, but recently it has also added influences from Asia, Mexico and Belgium. My favorite is the Carolina BBQ, hands down it’s the best BBQ in the city, served complete on top of corn bread. The burgers are excellent, and the Jambalaya is fantastic too and vegetarians, don't you worry, they have several offerings to conquer your hunger as well.
Plus, if you love beer, this is one of the best little bars in the city to have a good brew. They change their draft beers up 5 or 6 times a week. But, you can always bet they will have fantastic craft beers on tap: Bells, Ommagong, Avery, Allagash . . . they know their beer.
I don't mean to build up your expectations too high. We simply love to invite our friends, old and new, to come over and join us at one of our favorite local haunts. I talked with the owner today and he has agreed to feed you very well for only $20. Here is what you get. . .
6:30-7:30, happy hour. $1 off drafts, $2.50 well drinks and $3.50 call drinks
During happy hour he will start bringing out appetizers to hold us over.
